Shopping in the fall
So because I've lately been the Bad Son who never spends time with his parents, I decided to spend time with Mom and Dad on Saturday, which is cool, because we had a great time. Mom and Dad are really, really cool people, which is what you'd expect, right, from my parents? We had a great time, and got some great bargains, but I have some observations: First of all, there's a brand-new, shiny store in the mall: Pottery Barn for Kids. My father and I both predict a quick death of this store because, as my Dad says, "kids that young don't know they are gay yet," and therefore, won't shop there. The whole concept DID seem a bit silly to me, but hey, whatever. Many gay folks are beginning to adopt, so perhaps Dad and Dad will enjoy shopping there. But not in San Antonio. Dear retail merchandisers and buyers: My bargain of the day was either the t-shirts at Old Navy that were marked down to $1.80 each, or the ten dollar clogs at the Gap. Either way, I got lots of stylish, affordable clothing for not a lot of money. Which is good, because if I'm ever going to get that car I've been talking about buying, I have to save some money. Apparently, there's no Money Tree, damn it! Posted by timbrat • 01:50 PM
