Losing My Religion
Driving to work this morning, I turned the satellite onto the nineties station, which either plays AWESOME music, or pure suck. This morning, the Gods were shining down upon me, and shortly after I switched the channel, I heard the introductory mandolin of Losing My Religion, which to this very day remains one of my favorite songs of all time.
As it usually does, it stirred strong emotions in me. I got all nostalgic about my life, and what sort of person I was when I first heard that song. That young boy is nothing like the man I have become, but it’s obvious to me that I had to live my life and BE that scared, immature boy who thought the world owed him something to become the man I am today. It made me proud of myself as I drove my Volvo with the satellite radio to a job that makes me happy and fulfilled. I sometimes mourn, however, the naïve hope I had back then.
Then, the R.E.M. ended and Ace of Base came on.I stopped thinking about all that and GROOVED all the way to work, because I saw The Sign, and it opened up my eyes.
I have nothing I can add to that. Happy Fiesta! I'll try not to be so scarce around here, okay?

Why do you have such gorgeous legs! Dammit! But damn baby... you got fries with that shake? Posted by: Mare on April 20, 2004 03:25 PM
It's hardly fair that you look better in that dress than I would. Of course... my facial hair might give you a run for your money. Ha!! :-) Honey - you looked *hot*! Posted by: GoddessKristin on April 20, 2004 06:07 PM
